DROP-OUT rates have risen at two Glasgow universities over the past five years, official figures show.
Glasgow Caledonian University saw an increase of 1.4% in its drop-out rate over the period, and the University of Strathclyde landed at 0.4% up.
However, both Glasgow University and the Glasgow School of Art saw a fall in drop-out rates – of -0.7% and -2.5% respectively.
The figures come at a time when universities are under greater scrutiny and pressure to be more transparent about areas such as drop-out rates and graduate outcomes.
The University of Abertay, Dundee, had the largest increase, with an 8.6% rise.
