A BODY has been found in the search for a missing woman who had links to Glasgow.
Police say the family of Erin Lawrie have been informed after making the discovery at Prestwick Golf Club this afternoon.
A formal identification is still to take place and a post mortem examination will be conducted to establish the exact circumstances of the death, but police are not treating the death as suspicious.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
The tragic news comes two days after police launched an appeal to find the missing Ayrshire woman, 43, with cops at the time saying they believed she may have travelled to Glasgow.
