A body has been found in the search for a missing Glasgow student.
Officers discovered the body of a man in the water next to Glasgow Green at around 4am yesterday.
Police Scotland confirmed that the deceased has been formally identified as Timothy Chiwaula who had been reported missing from the Glasgow area almost two weeks ago.
The 23-year-old's family has been made aware and officers say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4am on Friday, 22 October, 2021, police were called after the body of a man was discovered in the water next to Glasgow Green.
"The deceased has been formally identified as Timothy Chiwaula (23) who had been reported missing from the Glasgow area. His family are aware.
"There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
"The media and members of the public are thanked for their support during our investigation."
