Police searching for missing Cumbernauld woman Karen Stevenson have confirmed that a body has been found.
The body of a woman was discovered in the Glenboig area on the morning of Sunday, March 13.
The force added that while formal identification has yet to take place, they have informed Karen's family.
Their enquiries are at an early stage and the death is currently being treated as unexplained.
There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
Karen, 42, went missing from her home in Lairds Hill, Seafar on February 19.
