The festival closed in spectacular style with the European premiere of Polite Society, the feature debut from writer-director Nida Manzoor (creator of We Are Lady Parts).
Both Nida and the film’s star Priya Kansara attended the red-carpet gala premiere.
The festival also announced the winner of its prestigious Audience Award - the only award presented at the festival and chosen by the audience.
The 2023 award, sponsored by Belhaven Brewery, was won by writer-director Anthony Shim for Riceboy Sleeps, a crowd-pleasing drama about a Korean single mother raising her son in 90s Canada.
In his video acceptance speech Antony said 'It's truly astonishing to me that a film that was so personal and specific to my background and my experiences could be enjoyed and appreciated by people all over the World, like Scotland.
"So thank you, this is really an honour and I hope to visit Glasgow soon'.
