A vulnerable Glasgow man repaid homeless charity volunteers with a kind gift after they helped him get sober.
Paul bravely contacted Homeless Project Scotland earlier this month for help after struggling with alcohol.
The charity works to help vulnerable people by offering them food and resources to get back on their feet.
They worked with Paul who proudly returned 17 days later with a large cookie thanking them for the support.
He beamed as he handed over the dessert which had white and blue icing that said, ‘Thank You Homeless Project Scotland’.
It comes after he told volunteers he felt like “part of a big family” as he celebrated over two weeks of sobriety.
The charity shared the kind gesture to encourage others to come forward for help.
Homeless Project Scotland posted on Facebook: “17 days ago Paul came to Homeless Project Scotland and asked for help.
“With Paul's permission we are delighted to say Paul is 17 days sober and returned to HPS to show his thanks with this gift!
“In Paul's words he feels part of the big family at Homeless Project Scotland, and we are so happy to be able to support Paul along his journey in recovery.
“If you’re struggling or in need of help, reach out to our friendly volunteers.
“We are here to help the most vulnerable in society.”
