A hunt for a 'suspicious' man has been launched after a teenager was brutally attacked at playing fields in Paisley.

Officers say the woman was walking through the playing fields at Glennifer Road, near Donaldswood Road, at around 2am on Monday, April 1, when she was approached by a man.

Following that, the man then assaulted the 18-year-old.

After the shocking ordeal, the young woman was left 'distressed' by the attack.

Luckily, she did not require any hospital treatment.

Now, cops are on the hunt for the culprit.

The man responsible is described as being white, around 5ft 8inch tall, and of skinny build.

He was wearing light grey clothing.

Detective Sergeant Craig Anderson said: “Our enquiries into the full circumstances of this incident are ongoing.
