A CELEBRATORY event was held at a historic church in Bishopton to mark the completion of restoration works.
Bishopton Parish Church's final stages were recently completed which saw the fabric of the building "weatherproofed" that will last a number of years.
The five-year project at Bishopton Parish Church restored the external masonry of the B-listed landmark dating back to 1815.
Work took place over three phases.
Members of the community were invited along for tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits once the work was complete.
Natalie Don, MSP for Renfrewshire North and West, has been an avid supporter of the church as she expressed how pleased she was to see it complete.
She said: "It was a pleasure to attend the recent celebration at Bishopton Church, alongside members of the community, to mark the completion of their restoration project.
"The final stage saw the refurbishment of the masonry to the way it was designed in 1815, a recognition of the village’s history and heritage.
“I have been lucky enough to witness this progress first-hand and have been delighted to assist the group with funding applications, so I’m thrilled to see the final result.
“I would encourage everyone to get along to visit this lovely landmark in Bishopton."
