A vehicle fire on a busy road in Glasgow prompted an emergency services response this afternoon.
During rush hour traffic, at around 4.20pm, a van burst into flames on Great Western Road in the city's West End.
A concerned member of the public soon raised the alarm and fire crews rushed to attend.
It is understood that an ambulance service was also called to the scene.
It is not yet known if anyone was injured as a result of the incident.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We received a call at 4.20pm today to a van on fire at the central reservation of Great Western Road in Glasgow.
"The call we received was from a member of the public.
"We mobilised one appliance which attended the scene and left at 5.16pm"
