A woman was hospitalised after a car crash in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to Carmunnock Road in the Southside last night around 9.45pm, following reports of a two-vehicle crash.

A 62-year-old woman was taken to hospital.

The road was closed for seven hours and reopened early this morning.

Police have launched an investigation and are asking any witnesses to come forward.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.45pm on Saturday, July 29, 2023 officers were called to reports of a two-vehicle crash on Carmunnock Road, Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended and a 62-year-old woman was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by ambulance.

"The road was closed for around seven hours and reopened at 6am.

"If you were driving in the area at the time and have dash-cam footage that could assist with enquiries, please call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 4072 of July 29."
