Fire trucks raced to the North of Glasgow last week due to an open fire. 

The blaze was located near Spence Street in the city's Maryhill area.

The alarm was raised to the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service at 5.18pm on Friday, October 13. 

It is unknown what caused the fire. 

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were alerted at 5.18pm on Friday, October 13 to a fire in the open near Spence Street, Glasgow.

"Operations Control mobilised one appliance where firefighters extinguished the fire. The crew left after ensuring the area was made safe."
