A man is in hospital after a one-car crash in Lennoxtown.

999 crews were alerted of the incident around 5.40pm last night.

Police Scotland has confirmed that one car was involved in the collision on Campsie Road.

According to officers, the driver went to hospital by themselves.

On social media, residents reported that the area was cordoned off in the evening, while cops were at the scene.

A force spokesperson said: "We attended and recovery was arranged for the vehicle.

"The occupant of the car made their own way to hospital for a check-up."
