A TEENAGER has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Paisley this morning.
Officers say they were called to the horror crash on Love Street in town at around 8.20am on Tuesday, January 23.
Cops say the accident involved a car and a pedestrian - who was a 14-year-old boy.
Three ambulances were sent to the scene, where the youngster was then taken to hospital.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 8.20am on Tuesday, January 23, we were called to a report of a crash on Love Street, Paisley, involving a car and a pedestrian.
"A 14-year-old boy, the pedestrian, was taken to Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow, as a precaution."
Meanwhile, a Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We received a call at 8.17am to attend on Love Street, Paisley.
"Three ambulances were dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to South Glasgow Children’s Hospital.”
