THREE people have been rushed to hospital following a horror car smash in Glasgow last night.

Officers say they received a report of the incident near Netherplace Road at around 9pm on Tuesday, January 23.

The accident involved two vehicles.

During the crash, residents reported that the road was closed, while there were 'lots of police and ambulances' in attendance.

Following it, cops say three people were taken to hospital.

The road reopened at around 10.30pm.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 9pm on Tuesday, January 23, police were called to a report of a two-vehicle crash in the Netherplace Road area of Glasgow.

"Three people were taken to hospital for assessment and the road was cleared around 10.30pm.”

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "“We received a call at 9pm hours on Tuesday to attend an incident on Netherplace Road in Glasgow.

"We dispatched three ambulances, one paramedic response unit and our special operations team to the scene, with the first resource arriving within seven minutes.

"We transported one male patient and one female patient to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”

Meanwhile, a Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 8.56pm on Tuesday, January 23, to reports of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on Cornalee Road, Glasgow.

"Operations control mobilised two appliances to the scene.

"Four casualties received care from the Scottish Ambulance Service.

"Crews left at 10.03pm after ensuring the area was safe."
