Several busy roads in Glasgow's city centre are set to be hit with lane closures this week.

Glasgow City Council have said that Montrose Street, Hope Street, St Vincent Street, and Cochrane Street carriageways will be reduced from 8.30am until 4.30pm, from Tuesday, January 30 until Friday, February 2.

They will be reduced to facilitate road marking works.

Road users are being advised to take alternative routes, however, traffic flow on the roads will be maintained.

The roads that will be affected are:

  • Montrose Street - from George Street to Ingram Street
  • Hope Street - from West George Lane to St Vincent Lane
  • St Vincent Street - from Renfield Street to Wellingston Street
  • Cochrane Street - from Montrose Street westward for 40 metres.
