A BUSY Glasgow road is set to remain closed for three more months.
We previously reported that West George Street between Pitt Street and Holland Street would be closed from October 30 until February 2.
However, now, Glasgow City Council has said the closure will be extended from February 2 until May 3.
This is in order to continue carrying out work as part of the Avenues Project.
Part of the Glasgow City Region City Deal's Avenues programme, the project aims to transform the city-centre streets to make them more "people-friendly" as well as greener and more sustainable.
The road and public footway will be enhanced on Holland Street and the surrounding streets.
Working hours will be Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm.
