A BUSY road in Glasgow has been hit with an emergency closure.
Glasgow City Council has said Stockwell Place in the city centre will be shut from Thursday, February 1 until Monday, February 5.
It will be closed to allow Scottish Water to carry out urgent water main repair work in the area.
Drivers are being advised to follow the signed diversion during the works.
A spokesperson for Glasgow City Council said: "Scottish Water has urgent water main repair works to undertake in Stockwell Place which will require a road closure.
"Works commenced on Thursday, February 1 and it is anticipated they will be complete by Monday, February 5."
