CCTV has been released following a shocking attack near Glasgow.
The incident took place on Gilmour Street in Paisley on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at around 12.30am.
During it, a 27-year-old man was assaulted and later needed hospital treatment for his injuries.
Now, officers investigating the attack believe the man in the images may be able to help.
He is described as being white with dark hair and was wearing a black hooded top, black shorts, and black trainers.
Police say he was also carrying a drawstring bag.
Detective Constable Kate Wason said: “We would appeal to anyone who recognises the man in the image to please get in touch as it is vital that we speak to him.
“Anyone with information is asked to call CID officers in Paisley via 101, quoting incident number 1956 of June 25, 2023.
"Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where details can be given in confidence.”
