A major road near Glasgow was left closed last night due to an emergency incident.
East Dunbartonshire Council said Birdston Road (B757) was closed from McDonald's in Kirkintilloch to near Birdston Care Home shortly after 11pm on Thursday, March 29.
The road was forced to shut due to a vehicle smash.
During the closure, the local authority urged road users to 'avoid the area'.
Currently, it is unknown if anyone was injured during the accident.
The road reopened shortly after 1am this morning (Friday, March 29).
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
