Four brazen thieves have nicked a 'number of items' after forcing entry to a property in Bishopbriggs.

Detectives say the incident took place at a property on Inverary Drive in the town at around 8.30pm on Thursday, March 28.

During the ordeal, cops say four men forced entry to a property on the street and stole a 'number of items' including money and jewellery.

They then fled the area in an unknown vehicle.

Now, police are appealing for information on the incident.

Detective Inspector Ross Jamieson, Greater Glasgow CID, said: “Enquiries are at a very early stage to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident and we are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

“In particular we would urge anyone in the area with private CCTV or dash-cams to please check their footage in case they have captured anything which could be of significance, such as a vehicle driving off at speed.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 3541 of March 28.
