Two people have been rushed to hospital after an emergency incident on a major road.
We previously reported East Dunbartonshire Council said Birdston Road (B757) was closed from McDonald's in Kirkintilloch to near Birdston Care Home shortly after 11pm on Thursday, March 28.
The road was forced to shut due to a two-vehicle smash.
Now, police have revealed both drivers involved in the accident were taken to hospital.
Meanwhile, cops said an investigation into the crash is underway.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We received a report of a two-vehicle crash which happened around 10.20am on Thursday, March 28, 2024 on Birdston Road, Milton of Campsie.
"Both drivers were taken to hospital and enquiries are ongoing."
