A major Glasgow road has been closed due to a serious emergency incident.

Glasgow City Council has said the Clydeside Expressway is currently closed to all westbound traffic at the A739 flyover near the Clyde Tunnel due to a serious road traffic accident.

The local authority has said all traffic approaching the smash is being forced to turn onto the A739 northbound carriageway at Balshagray Avenue.

It is unknown if anyone has been injured from the incident or how many vehicles are involved.

Police Scotland, the Scottish Ambulance Service, and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have been contacted for comment.
