With the arrival of spring, many people across Scotland may have been hoping for a bit of sunshine and warmer weather.
However, predictions from leading forecasters like the Met Office and WXCharts have painted a rather chilly picture next week.
With wintry showers and snow on the horizon this March, here is what the experts have to say.
When will it snow in Scotland this March?
WXCharts data shows that Scotland could expect snow and chillier conditions as soon as Tuesday (March 26) with around 2cm of snowfall expected per hour.
This will largely affect the north of the country including the Highlands and Grampian with these conditions set to move further north throughout the day.
Snow is also predicted to return to the Highlands on Easter weekend with up to 2cm of snow affecting the region from 6pm on Friday (March 29).
Temperatures reached 17 Celsius in places last weekend but it will feel much colder this coming weekend.

The Met Office's long-range forecast (March 27 to April 5) states that temperatures across the country will be a "little below normal for late March," adding that "some wintry showers [are] possible in the far north of Scotland."
Discussing the Easter weekend, the meteorological organisation adds: "Through the bank holiday weekend and into the following week, unsettled or changeable weather remains the most likely outcome.
"All areas are likely to see further rain or showers at times, with some drier spells in between, but wet weather will tend to favour the southwest while northern, especially northwestern, parts remain a bit drier on average."
This information may change over the coming days as forecasts become more accurate.
