Giorgos Giakoumakis looks certain to depart Celtic and yesterday he shared a highlights reel of his time at the club.

The striker looks set to move to Japan with Urawa Red Diamonds or America with Atlanta United.

Due to the respective countries' transfer rules, the Greek frontman is still able to seal a switch despite the Scottish window having ended on January 31.

Giakoumakis yesterday shared a compilation of his goals and memories during his time in Glasgow from a fan page.

Glasgow Times:

“It will get concluded fairly soon,” Postecoglou explained at a media conference this week.

“To be honest, it’s not on my radar any more. I will probably hear it about the same time as you guys. Maybe, if you are on Instagram, you will hear about it earlier than me.

“It’s not on my radar, I don’t expect him back in the group, but it hasn’t been finalised yet.”

Giakoumakis had appeared to express frustration over his lack of game time in an Instagram post before the transfer window opened.

The 28-year-old posted an hourglass emoji above a photograph of him coming off the bench in the 82nd minute of Celtic’s 2-1 win over Livingston on December 21.

The forward, who was Celtic’s top league goalscorer last season, more recently wrote a message above a goal celebration photograph which read: “Enjoy every moment like it’s your last!”

The picture was of him celebrating his goal in Celtic’s 2-0 Viaplay Cup semi-final win over Kilmarnock, which was almost certainly his final game and goal for the club.

Meanwhile, Postecoglou believes his Celtic side can reach another level as they continued their march towards the cinch Premiership title with a convincing 4-1 win against St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park.

“Some really good players didn’t get on the pitch today and some really good players didn’t get in the squad,” Postecoglou said.

“For about four or five weeks now we have a game a week so that gives us the chance to work really hard at training and get everyone up another level, another notch, and increase our performance both on an individual and collective basis.

“We have set our mark as always trying to finish stronger than we started and we are well on the way to that.

“We are definitely getting stronger every week and that’s what we want to do till the end of the year.

“When you do have three games a week it limits the opportunities to work on our game, our game patterns and individual work with the guys.

“The guys want that. We can’t, as coaches, look to the games for improvement, we have to make sure we are giving them what they need on a daily basis and I’m sure we will use this period wisely.”
