Jai McDowall has been asked to join Susan Boyle on tour following his standing ovation on BGT The Champions.
The Scots singer reduced many viewers to tears with his touching rendition of A Star Is Born’s I’ll Never Love Again during the new series on Saturday night.
His performance was so powerful that Simon Cowell showered him with praise following the song and admitted that Jai made him look like an idiot for his negative comments on the past.
Simon said: “So, 2011. I remember my issue at the time was I was struggling to find out where you fit into the market," Simon told Jai.

"The fact that I never gave you support during or after the show and you have the guts to come back and prove a point to me: you've grown in stature and in confidence and that was an amazing performance.
"I owe you an apology for not giving you the support you needed at the time, but I also respect the fact you've come back and made me look like an idiot and you look fantastic.
"I could not be more thrilled so here's the standing ovation I should have given you."
Jai is now set for big things following the show and we can reveal that Susan Boyle has now asked him to join her on tour this March.
Jai told the Evening Times: “I’ve had a lot of people contacting me since the show aired at the weekend and it’s all very exciting.
"Susan Boyle actually called me up just before it aired and asked me if I’d like to join her on tour in March.
"Of course I said yes and I can’t wait to join her. We've performed together at a few events before but this is a real chance to love the dream with her.
"It was great to be on Britain’s Got Talent and represent Scotland because there is such a wealth of talent here. It was really great to see Simon again and hear his feedback.
"It was the perfect opportunity to go shake Simons hand and thank him for the career I now have. Without Simon and BGT I wouldn’t have the lifestyle I’ve got.
"He’s been a real dreammaker for many contestants including me. I still get to do what I love doing. I was pretty emotional too.”
