A Two Doors Down star has revealed that their role had originally gone to someone else.
Kieran Hodgson, who plays Gordon in the comedy sitcom, admitted he was in a bit of limbo before he got a message informing him that he had an audition.
After a period of silence, the actor assumed he had been unsuccessful - until a turn of events.
Speaking on Go Radio with Crofty and Grado, who plays Alan in the series, Kieran said: "One day I get an e-mail saying 'I got you an audition for this programme called Two Doors Down' and I just put myself on a video late one night doing lots of funny faces and reacting to other people's weird lines.
"I heard nothing about it and I thought oh well it must have gone to someone else and it had.
"But then they rang me up on Thursday afternoon and said 'Hi Kieran, could you come to Glasgow on Sunday and start filming on Monday?'
"So basically someone whose name I've never found out was gonna be Gordon and was no longer, and I was in the right place at the right time as the second option.
"That's how showbiz works and it worked out pretty good for everyone and for the show, I'd say."
