Actress Elaine C Smith officially opened a pop-up boutique at Princes Square this week.
A pre-opening drinks reception for friends and supporters of Smart Works Scotland celebrated the female unemployment charity’s one-year anniversary in Glasgow this month.
Now it has partnered with Princes Square to bring the ultimate Autumn shopping pop-up boutique to the Buchanan Street hub from October 27 to October 29, stocking pre-loved, vintage, and designer pieces from brands including ALIGNE, Sain & Sofia, Nobody’s Child, Boden, The Fold, Biscuit, and more for up to 70% off RRP.
All proceeds from the Smart Works Scotland pop-up boutique will go towards raising essential funds for its service.
Elaine, who is best known for her role as Christine in Two Doors Down, said: “We as compassionate individuals, all of us here, all the people here who buy something, that money is going to say to women, come on, we’ll take you, we’ll make sure when you go into that job you’ll look fantastic, you’ll feel confident, that you’ll not feel lesser than someone else and we all know as women how important that is.”
Founded in 2014, Smart Works Scotland forms part of the UK volunteer-led charity Smart Works and exists to give women across Scotland the confidence they need to reach their full potential, secure employment, and change the trajectory of their lives.
