A Glasgow youngster has impressed the judges on Britain's Got Talent after his team performance received the golden buzzer. 

Sam Brown, originally from Drumchapel, wowed the judges of the British talent show in last Saturday night’s episode, earning the golden buzzer from Bruno Tonioli.

As he sent the young Scottish dancer through to the semi-finals of the competition with his dance group The Phoenix Boys, Bruno ended up breaking the legendary golden buzzer amid the excitement.

As Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, and Alesha Dixon looked on shock at Bruno’s mess up, Sam celebrated with his teammates surrounded by golden confetti and a standing ovation.

Sam was very excited to have been able to appear on the show and hopes to pull off more performances like their contemporary performance to Sam Ryder’s Tiny Riot.

He said: “Dancing is everything to me and with The Phoenix Boys I have found the most amazing family of dancing boys.

“It can be lonely being a male dancer but now I am surrounded by an army of boys with the same passion as me.

“I can’t wait to get on stage for the live shows and show everyone how hard we have been working,” he added.

Sam currently trains at The Hammond School in Chester, where he is able to develop his dancing abilities while also focusing on his education.

The Phoenix Boys is a dance associate programme that currently runs in London, Manchester and Birmingham. There is no audition process to join the company and it prides itself on providing an environment where boys can thrive in dance, whether it is just a hobby or a career goal.

After their golden performance on Saturday, the nation can look forward to Sam and his group’s performance in the upcoming semi-finals.
