Glasgow presenter Lorraine Kelly has said she is “so happy” at the “lovely news” of her daughter’s engagement.

Rosie Smith, the only daughter of the Gorbals-born telly host, 64, and husband Steve Smith, announced her engagement to partner Steve White.

The touching news was shared in a heartfelt Instagram post showing a selection of photos of Rosie sitting at a table wearing an engagement ring.

TV doctor Amir Khan and presenter Christine Lampard offered their congratulations.

It comes after Rosie announced she and Steve were expecting their first child together.
