A Two Doors Down star has revealed the future of the show in an emotional speech.

Grado - who plays Alan in the popular BBC series - took to social media to post a touching tribute to the creator of the show, Simon Carlyle, who died last year.

Carlyle - who was described as being a 'wonderful person and a major comedic talent' - sadly passed away aged 48 in August 2023.

Now, one year on from his death, Grado - real name Graeme Stevely - revealed 'there won't be another Two Doors Down'.

The Scots actor also thanked Simon in the touching tribute for 'believing' in him, saying: "I loved the bones of you".

In the emotional Instagram post, Grado said: A year ago you left us.

"Ask anyone, I speak about you every day. You changed my life.

"An absolute comedy genius and that’s why (other than a live show in tribute which there should be) there won't be another Two Doors Down.

"Thank you for believing in me.

"Our 'ershire coamedy' brains synced.

"I think of Dorothy, his mum, his loving family and co-writer Gregor Sharp on this tough day. Simon, I loved the bones of you.

"Your microscopic detail direction to making funny funnier will always be missed and it breaks my heart to think what more could have been.

"Lots of love, Aln."
