A Lorraine star who has been absent from the ITV show teased a 'top secret' task.

The series showbiz correspondent Ross King, based in Los Angeles, hasn't appeared on the show recently.

Ranvir Singh, who is standing in for Lorraine Kelly during her summer break, pressed Ross for some answers regarding his mysterious departure on Monday's show, reports The Mirror

Ross hinted that he'd been on a "top secret" adventure around Loch Ness, but said little else, leaving Ranvir even more puzzled and eager to know more.

Speaking to the Motherwell-born showbiz guru, she said: "Now, you've been away for a bit what have you been up to?"

Ross replied: "I've been away filming a top-secret assignment, I can give you a little clue, this is actually me flying a plane up near Loch Ness.

"That's all I'm going to tell you."

He continued: "I can't tell you anything more about it."

Ranvir said: "You're being very mysterious, I want to dig more into what you were doing above Loch Ness."

In response, Ross hummed the James Bond theme tune while forming a gun silhouette with his fingers.

The presenter was visibly irritated, exclaiming: "Ohh I want to know what's going on."
