This year's series of the hit dancing TV show began on Saturday, September 14.

In the post announcing her visit back to her hometown, Dr Krishan said she felt 'so proud' to take Gorka to her former university.

In the post, the medic said: "Felt so proud taking Gorka Márquez to see my university and medical school today at the University of Glasgow.

"Nothing makes me more proud than showing off my city to visitors but revisiting my uni campus felt very special.

"It’s fresher’s week this week so the place was buzzing with new students about to embark on a new chapter and it felt surreal being there today as I too am embarking on a new chapter.

"All those excited but nervous feelings, the unknowns, the aspirations, the new connections, the learning ahead - I’m feeling it all just now again.

"It’s always good to go back to see how far you’ve come but it is also a humbling reminder that the learning never stops.

"The sun was shining bright today too, the dancing is coming along - all in all, it was a really great day."

Replying to the post, Gorka said: "Thanks for showing me around. And the lunch break in sunny Glasgow - pure dead brilliant."
