The sunshine made a rare appearance in Glasgow this week as hundreds flocked to the local parks to bask in a bit of warm weather.

We thought summer (was that even summer?) was over but temperatures reached an impressive 24 degrees just as Halloween goodies were stacked onto supermarket shelves.

The parks were hoachin' on Wednesday, with everyone looking for that perfect spot to enjoy a singular sunny day before the inevitable return to dreich.

As our photographer captured Glaswegians in the sun, it reminded us of a particularly hilarious episode of Still Game when Jack and Victor compete with Winston, Tam, and most of Craiglang for the 'hot seat'.

Remember the 'hot seat'? It was the perfect bench with a view of the whole park, but when Jack and Victor finally got it, they refused to give it up and ended up sunburnt from a whole day of total sun exposure.

Do you know where you can find the actual 'hot seat' in Glasgow? You'll be glad to know, you don't need to climb a ladder or hitch a ride off the ice cream van to get to it.

It is located in Victoria Park, which opened in the west of the city in the 19th century and is adjacent to the areas of Scotstoun, Whiteinch, Jordanhill, and Broomhill.

The park was dedicated to Queen Victoria in 1887, the year of her Golden Jubilee, and featured a pond, bowling green, and outdoor space for live concerts.

It's a beautiful spot and a wee slice of nostalgia for fans of the comedy series. But if you're going to enjoy an afternoon on the 'hot seat', just remember to bring your SPF...
