She said: "Through my 20s and 30s, I was so focused on going back to Scotland and having a go at this broadcast career and really making myself a success that I didn't really focus at all on my weight which I know must sound insane.

"Then I met my husband and then in my 40s had these two beautiful babies back-to-back - two boys - and when I had my children it was like a light switch went off because it wasn't about me anymore.

"I just started to have seriously dark thoughts about me passing away and not being there for the kids or something happening to them.

"I know other people with kids can relate to that. When your kids come along they become the most precious thing."

Michelle revealed this made her want to become the 'best version of herself' to ensure she was here for her boys.

Asking her about her weight loss, Rob asked whether or not she had taken Ozempic, which Michelle said she didn't as she is a type one diabetic.

The singer said: "I was looking at myself in the mirror and I should be thinking, 'Look this body has given you these two kids and your career is going great' but I was miserable when I looked in the mirror."

She went on to say she has transformed her body through exercise and a calorie deficit.
