Filming for a new TV series is set to take place in Glasgow this week.

David Dale Studio on Broad Street in the city's Bridgeton area will be used to film interior scenes for Summerwater - a six-part Channel 4 drama based on the book of the same name by Sarah Moss.

The book, which is being adapted by screenwriter John Donnelly (The Assessment, Utopia, The Pass) and directed by Robert McKillop (Guilt) is set against the backdrop of a remote loch-side Scottish holiday cabin park.

The book looks at the simmering tensions between the lives of several families that eventually erupt into a devastating climax.
