WHEN shopping for make-up the words "light coverage" automatically ensure the product is left on the shelf.
My skin is fickle, a change in the direction of the wind can result in a breakout in a matter of minutes so light coverage and I have never been friends.
But Benefit Cosmetics claim their new Hello Happy foundation, which launched last month, will blur imperfections and provide a natural looking finish.
It's light to medium coverage is designed to even out skin tone and the fancy soft-focus optical blurring spheres diffuse to create a the desired effect.
I wasn't convinced but with almost 100 per cent of testers claiming the product was weightless and breathable I thought I would give it a go.
"Looks like skin and feels like nothing at all, " the packaging reads and it was true.
It did feel light and breathable - so much so I forgot I was wearing make-up one day and disastrously rubbed my eye while wearing liner, oops - and it did look like my skin, only not the skin I have everyday, the skin I would kill for.
Any breakouts appeared to be banished and the matte finish stayed in place all day, meaning I could avoid the ever-annoying touch ups.
Plus, the packaging is so pretty it's hard not to reach for this bottle on the shelf.
