CLINIQUE’S Beyond Perfecting Foundation and Concealer is a two-in-one liquid designed to give a natural, beyond perfected look that lasts all day.
It’s a lightweight, oil-free moisturising make-up that covers thoroughly without clogging pores. It lets skin breathe comfortably, allowing the colour to stay true – even through sweat and humidity.
There are over 20 different shades to choose from – from linen, clove and neutral to honey, amber and cream rose – so matching your skin tone has never been easier.
The ‘magic wand’ applicator also allows for all-over or targeted application – which comes in handy if you’ve got spots or pesky dark circles you’d like to conceal.
Its slow-dry formula makes blending easy and once applied the liquid transforms into a flawless finish. The make-up uses a rich pigment level, so colours may
initially appear deeper at first – but after a few minutes it settles down and adapts to your skin tone to give an airbrushed effect.
At £28 for 30ml, it is great value for money. The ‘magic wand’ helps to avoid unnecessary wastage – so even if applied daily, the make-up has the potential to last well over two months.
The only downside to the glass bottle and lid design is to remember to shake the product instead of repeatedly ‘pumping’ the ‘magic wand’ up and down to mix the liquid. If air gets into the bottle, you’ll have a Fanta face quicker than you can say oxidation.
Also, those over the age of 35 may not reap the entire benefits of Clinique’s claim that the make-up provides 12 hours of full-coverage. The Beyond Perfecting Foundation and Concealer is absolutely fantastic and will leave your skin looking picture perfect. However, those on the older side may have to apply another layer before the 12 hours is up to keep that look going.
Overall, this is a top buy.
