A popular musician will be playing an 'intimate gig' in Glasgow next month.

Frank Benbini, best known as the drummer with American rap rock band Fun Lovin' Criminals, will be playing at Stereo with his band Uncle Frank on Monday, October 9.

The quartet, featuring Naim Cortazzi on guitar, Frank’s brother Darryl on drums and Luke Kool on bass, will perform their fourth album 'Diablo'.

Glasgow Times:

Speaking on the show, Benbini said: "Glasgow is like a second home to me.

"I've played there countless times over the years and every crowd has been well up for a rock 'n' roll show.

"Diablo is a very special record. Some of the songs were difficult to write, particularly when I wanted to sing about addiction or mental health.

"It's not easy - but very rewarding - to write a song about accepting vulnerability and having the right to feel out of sorts with the world and your own mind.

"But for others, I was able to lose myself in the joy of just being, either by myself or with friends and thinking about special times.

"Everyone who comes to the show is going to feel more about life and music when they hear our new tracks."
