McLACHLAN - Alex At Taumarunui, New Zealand on Sunday 23rd May 2021, aged 78, much loved husband of Pauline and father of Meegan, Lisa and Ross. Son of Jessie and Allan, brother to Allan, Bobby, Grace, Catherine, Kenneth, and Anne and uncle to many. Alex served his apprenticeship at Alexander Stephen shipyard and then served a number of years as a seagoing 1st electrician with Shaw Savill Shipping Line on ships on the NZ / Australia service. He settled in NZ over 50 years ago and was Engineering Manager for the Port of Wellington when he retired. Alex will be sorely missed by all his family.
