McGURIN - Charlie Frater Aged 84, of Castlemilk, Glasgow, died peacefully on 17th January 2022 in The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born 31st July 1937 in Anderston, Glasgow, the son of Charlie and Annie McGurin. He was one of eight children. He married Jane McQuade who he loved dearly until her own passing in 18th April 2014. He completed National Service in the 1950's before working as a Steelfixer for the majority of his working life, retiring in the early 1990's. He is survived by his three sons: Charles, Stephen and Edward; his grandchildren: Charles, Shannon, Mary, Lydia and Orla and his great-grandchildren Aodhan Cowden and Colby Hart and his sisters Matty Bunting and Mary McIntyre. Fortified by Rites of Holy Church, R.I.P. Reception and Funeral Mass at St Margaret Mary's R.C. Church, Castlemilk, Glasgow, on Monday 31st January at 10am.
