McFARLANE - Joseph (Joe) It is with much sadness we must announce that Joe passed away suddenly but peacefully at the family home on 11th April 2022, aged 90. Surrounded by his darling wife of 66 years Greta (nee Farrell). His adoring daughters Eleanor and Tracy and his devoted and much loved grandson, Joe. He was also a dear father-in-law to William. He was the son of Joseph and Katie McFarlane (nee McLaughlin) and son-in-law to Nellie Farrell (nee Knight). He was a loving brother who was predeceased by Harry (Cathie), sister Cathie (Jimmy), brothers-in-law James and Charlie and nephew, Joe. He is survived by his lovely younger sister, May and his many nieces and nephews. Joe who was born in The Garngad, he then moved to Dennistoun, Townhead, Bishopbriggs and spent the last few years of his life living with his family in Troon. Joe had many close friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. There will be a private family service held on the afternoon of 5th May 2022. At this time, please say a prayer, share fond memories, raise a glass and join the family from your own home in bidding our cherished Joe McFarlane a heart breaking farewell.
