A BODY has been found close to a popular tourist site in North Lanarkshire.
Police say the 51-year-old man was discovered on a footpath near to Tak-Ma-Doon Road in Kilsyth.
The path is close to the historic Colzium Estate and Museum which is a popular tourist attraction in the area.
It is understood police taped off the area as they investigated the death which is being treated as not suspicious.
A spokesman added: "A post mortem will take place in due course."
