The Rangers Charity Foundation gave a group of fans a day to remember on Wednesday, inviting along supporters in need of a boost owing to a life-limiting illness, long-term disability or recent difficult experience for a look behind the scenes.
The VIP day started with a visit to training, where the first team squad as well as Mark Warburton and David Weir were on hand to chat, pose for photographs and sign autographs. The Dream Day continued back at Ibrox with lunch and a tour of the Stadium.
12-year-old Mason Bruce, who has recovered from an operation to remove a brain tumour, was over the moon to meet his heroes.
“It was just great,” he said. “I saw them in the hospital when I wasn’t very well, but I don’t really remember it, so now it’s great to meet them again.”
Six-year-old Daven Milne from Crookston, who had a tumour in his neck when he was just two, took home a special souvenir.
“Martyn Waghorn gave me his boots, and they’ve been worn because they smell a bit!” he beamed.
