AS PART of The Shed's 20th anniversary celebrations, the South Side nightclub has delved into its past to name a new monthly comedy night.
Before being called The Shed, The Marlborough Club was the home of cabaret, ballroom dancing, comedy and on occasion a wedding.
In ode to that, the new monthly Marlborough Comedy Club within the venue will be curated and compered by award-winning comedian Jamie Dalgleish, a Glasgow native who has been a permanent fixture of the comedy scene since 2010 when his girlfriend put him forward for his first gig. He went on to win Scottish Comedian of the Year in 2011. Jamie will be bringing amazing acts from across the UK to Shawlands each month.
The first event will take place on March 30 as part of the Glasgow International Comedy Festival. It will then run on the last Friday of every month.
