A NEW gin festival is set to make a splash on Glasgow's South Side.
Created by the team behind Social and Cocktail Events, Ginfall Festival will bring together a large variety of fantastic gins from across the globe. Distilleries will be offering samples for attendees to enjoy on the day, as well as Scottish Gin masterclasses, fantastic music and a premium cocktail bar.
Organiser John McIver said: "Having researched the current 'gin festival' landscape in Scotland, which has grown significantly over the last 12 months, we saw an opportunity to create a more boutique style gin show, with a blend of quality gins, local food and music, gin masterclasses and premium gin cocktails, created by our own Social and Cocktail mixologists.
"We decided to move out of the city centre a little as we understand that it is not always ideal for people to have to make their way into the city centre for a show at the weekend.
"The Social and Cocktail team are all based on the South Side of Glasgow, so we have a good deal of local knowledge and believe there is a huge demand for this type of event. After much searching, we came across Pollokshields Burgh Hall and fell in love with the place – the very definition of a hidden gem, and the perfect venue for what we are trying to create."
There will be a large variety of gins exhibiting at the show, including Caorunn, Arbikie, Makar, Colonsay, Shetland Reel, Silent Pool, Darnley`s View, Lussa, Granite North, Gilt and Brockmans.
John added: "It should be a fantastic day."
The festival will take place on Saturday, March 3 at Pollokshields Burgh Hall and will be split into two sessions, 12-4pm and 5-9pm. General admission is £15 and can be purchased via socialandcocktail.co.uk/ginfall. For more information, like on Facebook @ginfallfestival.
