A POPULAR Italian tapas restaurant chain has been granted planning permission to open up in Glasgow city centre.
La Vita Restaurants group plans to take over a unit on Gordon Street have been approved by the city council's planners.
They can now open their popular La Vita Spuntini restaurant in a unit which was previously a retailer which sold rainwear.
We previously reported that the shop unit was being sold due to the death of the founder of the retailer.
The restaurant group also own La Vita on George Square and Bishopbriggs, and Piccolino E Vino in Newton Mearns.
The plans were approved this week subject to conditions.
