As well as a Chaplaincy Centre, Disability Service, Student and International Financial Support, there are also Student Counselling, Health, and Study Skills services available.

CENTRE FOR LIFELONG LEARNING

Strathclyde University’s Centre for Lifelong Learning offers short courses and a range of programmes aimed at the over-50s. There are also online courses available, so as you can learn from anywhere at any time, and a pre-entry access course to help you gain the qualifications needed to secure a spot on a degree programme.

AWARD-WINNING CAREERS SERVICE

Strathclyde University’s award-winning Careers Service works with students at all stages of their university career and for 10 years after graduation. The team offers advice and information to help students and graduates identify their career options, explore ways of achieving their career goals and improve their job-search skills.

STUDENTS’ UNION

The Students’ Union is the centre of social life for Strathclyde University students. The Union has bars and clubs to cater for all. There are also more than 50 active clubs and societies available to join. The Sports Union offers a wide range of facilities and team sports from football and rugby to athletics.

SCHOLARSHIPS & FUNDING

Strathclyde University offers a wide range of scholarships and funding opportunities. Amongst the many available, including the Strathclyde Excellence Scholarship and Finn Randall Travel Award, full-time eligible students attending the university can apply for help with registered childcare costs from the Childcare Fund. Children must be under 15, or under 17 if they have special educational needs. The awards are in the form of a grant and are in addition to any other funding the student receives.
