CROOKSTON Community Group is helping to change the world – one meal at a time.
Last week, the group invited more than 50 children to sit down and enjoy a range of healthy treats which they otherwise may have missed out on away from school during the summer holidays.
The kids shared lentil soup, fish and a range of tasty sandwiches on brown bread. They also enjoyed a selection of fruits, from apples and bananas to strawberries and melon.
In addition, they were also handed a questionnaire to help improve their nutrition knowledge.
Chairperson Nasreen Ali said: "By working/volunteering at CCG, you can change your world by feeding children that otherwise would struggle to eat healthy meals in the school holidays.
"My eyes were wide shut until Cash for Kids and Voluntary Action Fund gifted our group funds to make our dream come true."
