A GLASGOW woman has died following a horrific crash on the notorious A9 in Perthshire.
As reported by the Evening Times previously, emergency services were called to the A9 near Dalnaspidal after a road traffic collision involving a car and a lorry at 3pm on Sunday.
Tragically, a 51-year-old woman died. She was the passenger within the car.
The victim has been named as Helima Abdulla Massabo from Glasgow.
A police spokesperson said: "Our thoughts are with her family and friends."
The 57-year old male driver of the car was airlifted to hospital for treatment.
The lorry driver was uninjured.
The northbound and southbound carriageways were both closed for some time to allow investigations surrounding the collision to be carried out.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
Enquiries are continuing and anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting 2819 of July 8.
