A WOMAN was subjected to a terrifying sexual assault in Possilpark.
The 41-year-old victim was on her way home when she was grabbed from behind and assaulted by a man who came from the direction of bushes.
The incident happened along Burmola Street on Saturday night at around 11pm.
The suspect is described as around 5ft 10in. He ran off in an unknown direction after a car on Bardowie Street startled him.
Police constable Dan Hood, Greater Glasgow Public Protection Unit, said: “Although the woman was left without any visible injuries, this was a terrifying attack on a woman who was making her way home after visiting family. It is vital we trace the man responsible.
"Officers have been checking CCTV and making door to door enquiries in the area."
